I've been "digging" into Mike Stannard folders for the Panzer II. I have MANY kits of this tank from our acquisition of the line, and one of them has a lot of extra armor and upgrades. I always wondered about that...

After talking to a customer, it seems like we have the master of Mike's Commander's cupola. Also, there are TWO variants of up-armored Panzer II.

I'm going to post the photos here, to discuss what they are, and how FOA could release these gorgeous sets... and IF these upgrades are finalized and completed?

I'm thinking of making the flat plastic parts in laser cut 1/8" ABS, and the cupola in several parts cast in RESIN, and hinges in cast metal

Please feel free to tell me what I'm looking at:

"FIRST UP-ARMORED PANZER II" This is the PzII Ausf F conversion and many parts would be quite useful for a Marder II

"SECOND VARIANT PANZER II" This is additional re-enforced armor upgrade done to all PzII Ausf c/A/B/C, the vehicle shown in the pic Is an Ausf B, you can tell by the visors, the only difference between the Ausf B and Ausf C were the visors, the Ausf C having upgraded 50mm vision blocks.

The cupola is a work of art and can be used on PzII Ausf c/A/B/C/D/E/F/G
